Background was taken from a recent illustration gig I did, figure was added in for fun. I was really inspired by Eyvind Earle for this picture, so I was thinking more about shapes and colors than I usually do.
Most of this was done in photoshop, except the original pencil sketch (which funny enough, looked absolutely nothing like this!) so i can't say i do much work straight in computer, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
I love this. The piece is a great example of how powerful color can be in the right hands. it can be as graphic as straight up black and white. Really great piece.
