i still get stressed figuring which catagory my work goes in... it's like half traditional and half digital... i put it in digital cuz i think the coloring is the strongest part of the picture?? although all my ink work is half of it too,... aghhh i cant take it!! T_T i am a failure!! i almost put it in pop art because of the blatent warhol tribute, but i didn't go into this picture intending for it to be pop art, i wanted more of a surreal, tired, dreamy look where everything is totally messy in the foreground, and all of the cans behind them are PERFECT (except for one out of place). but, i don't really think this fits under surreal either. mostly, it's just misc. why do i stress so much over this?? T_T wah
anyway this is the cover to demo 11 about some kids in a grocery store. trying something new with it, and playing around a lot with colors... :d bleh who knows anymore, it took me 3 days pretty much straight to do. i took breaks for sleeping and eating though hahaha.
Woah, I really like this. The perspective and the chosen colours are great. My only critic would be that it doesn't quite seem like the characters are really sitting on the floor, especially the one with his legs spread; but I know this is WAY hard to do (I tried -_-) so I can't really blame you. Awesome work, as usual. And

I've been buying Demo and talking it up to whoever will listen. And this image is another great cover in a series full of great covers. Any chance of you posting them all on DA? High Res? It'd be good publicity!
BTW: the cans in the background create a cool pattern--brilliant idea.
The funny thing is, I've heard that DA actually does put their foot down once in a while when someone gets the category 'wrong'. Ridiculous. I've heard that if you get it wrong, they force you to burn your artwork while they stand by and watch.
